1. Working principle of manual press
A manual press is a machine that uses the principle of lever to amplify manual force. It can apply a small force to the rod, and the lever principle amplifies the small force into a large force, which acts on the pressure head to achieve the purpose of processing the workpiece.
The commonly used rods and lever principles of manual presses are shown in the figure:
2. How to use a manual press
1. Safe operation
When using a manual press, you must first confirm the handle, and the handle must be firmly fixed on the machine to prevent the handle from detaching during operation, causing accidental injury.
At the same time, the operator must wear gloves to protect the skin of the hands and prevent damage from the machine. Before operation, check whether the machine is in a stable state, whether there are abnormal sounds and odors, and if there are any abnormalities, it must be stopped and repaired.
2. Operation steps
(1) Adjust the height of the manual press to align it with the work platform for easy work;
(2) Place the workpiece in the position of the workpiece to be pressed, and adjust the position of the workpiece to be pressed to prevent it from moving, and pay attention to whether the workpiece is firm;
(3) Use the operating handle to gradually press the pressure head until the pressure head presses the workpiece, and process it according to work needs;
(4) After the work is completed, use the operating handle to slowly raise the pressure head and take out the processed workpiece.
3. Common fault handling methods
Common faults of manual presses are as follows:
(1) Inflexible operation: Dust and dirt on the rod or slide rail cause inflexible operation. Clean the rod or slide rail;
(2) The handle does not bounce back: This fault may be caused by a damaged spring and needs to be replaced;
(3) The handle track is worn: The worn track can easily cause the handle to get stuck, and it needs to be replaced or repaired in time.
When a fault occurs, it needs to be eliminated in time to ensure the normal use of the manual press and avoid affecting the work process.
III. Summary
The working principle of the manual press is to use the lever principle to amplify the manual force to achieve the purpose of processing the workpiece. When using a manual press, safe operation must be ensured to avoid accidents.
The operation steps include adjusting the height of the manual press, placing the workpiece to be pressed, gradually pressing down the pressure head, slowly raising the pressure head after the work is completed, and taking out the processed workpiece.
When a manual press fails, it needs to be eliminated in time to ensure the normal use of the manual press and avoid affecting the work process.
